The Doctor of Ministry (DMin) is a four-year program provides the opportunity to develop a comprehensive and critical understanding of ministry in which theory and practice inform and enhance one other.
The program is designed to assist students in gaining advanced expertise in the general practice of ministry as well as advanced skill in a specialized area of research particular to their ministry. Students remain employed and working in their ministry base and travel to Toronto for a two- or three-week intensive each spring. The rest of the program is delivered through online learning and reading and research courses. A thesis—based on the student’s qualitative research in the ministry base – completes the program.
The degree is supervised by the Toronto School of Theology (TST) in collaboration with º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ. The degree is awarded conjointly by the University of Toronto and by º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ.
The Faculty of Divinity will provide financial support to assist students in making time for their studies with º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, including fellowships and bursaries. Current, we are able to provide financial assistance of at least $6,000 annually for the first four years for doctoral students.
